The Five O’ Clock Steakhouse team met with the owners of SteelTank Brewing Company to sample their newest brews and taste our legendary steaks. Chef Matt Molli, myself, and our own “Bar Star” Wally Wroblewski sat down with Mike Wengren (Brewery Owner / Drummer for Disturbed) (yes, the Drummer for the metal band disturbed, YES, I am a fan so just imagine!!), Jason Radosevich (Brewery Owner / Brewmaster), Dave Baron (Brewery Owner / Director of Operations) & Bobby Tanzilo (Senior Editor / Writer OnMilwaukee.com) for an insightful conversation about “STEAK & BEER” pairing. SteelTank now offers 5 beers in their 16 oz “Tall Boy” can format, and the Five O’ Clock team selected a few to start offering our guests. I don’t drink alcohol, but I nosed the beers and counted on my teams palates to help judge the character and body of the beers. We paired the least marbled steaks with the lighter style beers and the most heavily marbled steaks with their heaviest, IPA, Stouts and Ambers. Super rich aromas, high quality craft brewery.
